Wilton-Lyndeborough junior Meghan McClure finished 34th overall in the all-around competition out of 130 total gymnasts at the NHIAA Gymnastics Championships held at Salem High School on Saturday.

McClure accumulated 26.050 points in the all-around and was 16th out of all gymnasts competing as individuals. Last year, McClure finished 33rd with 28.000 points.

At Saturday’s championships, McClure had her best place in the vault. She finished in a three-way tie for 26th with Cassie Passamounte of Pelham and Manchester West’s Lauren Thibeault with a score of 7.850 points.

The only event in which McClure improved upon this year was the floor, when she finished in a tie for 30th. She was 36th last year, but brought her score up to an 8.000.

In the beam, which is her best event, McClure placed 41st overall with a score of 6.650 points. But that was also coming off a 21st place finish a year ago, when she had a score of 7.450. McClure was also 60th in the bars, finishing with a point total of 3.550.

Salem won the team portion of the meet with 134.075 points, edging Bishop Guertin by less than a point. Kaylee Pacunas of Pinkerton won the all-around competition with 35.875 points, while four different gymnasts won the individual events.
