Frost Heaves on stage March 22-23 at Peterborough Players

Frost Heaves will return to the Peterborough Players stage Friday and Saturday with three performances.

The final show of the season will feature New England nonsense, such as The Yankee Chef cooking show, Bertha Thompkins’ Grammatically Correct Pop Songs (classic songs with corrected grammar), Real Man Lessons on Cars (for less-than manly men), and a look at famous Yankees in history — what if they’d had modern devices like cell phones and GPSs?

Fred Marple will bring the news from Frost Heaves, and Life’s Little Mystery Theatre will ponder why time seems to go faster as we get older. The Speed Bumps band provides musical support, playing oldies and writing a brand-new, original Song on the Spot based on audience suggestions.

Performances, family friendly and suitable for all ages, are March 22 and 23 at 7:30 p.m. and March 23 at 2 p.m.

Tickets are $15 and available at the Toadstool Bookshop and Steele’s in Peterborough, Rousseau’s Music in Jaffrey, online at, or by calling 525-3391.
