Passover presented at in Greenfield on March 26

The Greenfield Covenant Church, Evangelical Covenant Church, will present “Christ in the Passover” tonight at 7 p.m. in Carter Memorial Auditorium and Conference Center on the campus of Crotched Mountain Rehabilitation Center, 1 Verney Dr.

Jesus’ Last Supper was actually a Jewish Passover. Obed and Bimini Cohen of Jews for Jesus will recreate the traditional Passover service and explain how it foreshadowed Jesus’ death and resurrection in a presentation called “Christ in the Passover.”

The Cohens will set a table with items traditionally used at the Passover meal and detail their spiritual significance. They will also explain the connection between the events of the first Passover in Egypt and the redemption that Jesus accomplished, as well as the deep bond between the ancient Passover feast and the Christian communion celebration today.

The Cohen’s will answer questions after the presentation. This event is free and open to the public.

Greenfield Covenant Church is a member congregation in the Evangelical Covenant Church (covchurch.org). Worship is held each Sunday at 10 a.m. in Carter Memorial Auditorium and Conference Center at the Crotched Mountain Rehabilitation Center.
