Letter: Finnish students rank high
To the editor:
Regarding your recent article, “Changing Face of Education — New Approach for Testing,” it is instructive to note that Finland, a small Nordic nation of five million people, is consistently ranked No. 1 in the world for the quality of its educational system.
They do not use standardized tests at all and the students spend considerable time outdoors, especially science students.
Leading educators from China and America travel to Helsinki annually to study the Finnish educational system.
