Donation to benefit town kitchen
For the month of April, 10 percent of total receipts (excluding tax and gratuity) at the Waterhouse Restaurant and Bar on each Tuesday night will be given to Peterborough Community Center.
The mission of the Community Center, located on Elm Street, is to provide recreational services without using taxpayer funds. The intention is that program fees and rentals will pay for operational costs. For the past two years the Recreation Department has almost met this goal.
The department is working toward a commercial grade kitchen. The town has already secured $96,000 in grants to meet the $150,000 budget, but $54,000 is still needed to complete the project.
