Warriors hang on

Wilton-Lyndeborough freshman pitcher Christian Seely earned his first career win on Wednesday as the Warriors held on for a 4-3 victory at Derryfield.

Seely struck out five and allowed two runs on two hits over five innings and junior Pat Martin picked up the save, going the last two and striking out four.

Martin also went 4-for-4 at the plate with two runs scored and an RBI. Junior catcher Brendan Hussey had two hits in three at bats and scored once.

WLC took a 2-0 lead in the third and made it 4-1 after the fifth. The Warriors were also thrown out three times at the plate.

WLC hosts Sunapee Wednesday.
