A moving Saturday for Park Theatre

To the editor:

The Park Theatre would like to thank Connie and Richard Porter who donated their Wurlitzer organ to us.

Their generosity means there will be music in the theater. Thank you as well to Dion Owens and everyone at Jaffrey Civic Center for safe-keeping of the organ until we are ready, and to Louise and Bernie Watson who arranged everything. Special thanks also to the very kind and very strong students from Franklin Pierce University’s Brothers Reaching Out who did all the moving: Noah Phillips, Nick Fukiniti, Mike Husson, Colin Darley, Nicholas Felix, Shawn Mullen, James Terry and Mike Harris.

We are also very grateful to everyone who moved out of the theater special elements to be reinstalled when construction is complete: Jessica Michlik, Josh and Mitch Stedman and Anthony Eddings. Big thanks to Christine Selmer and everyone at MFS Adult Wellness and Care Center in Jaffrey where those contents will be safely kept. We are fortunate to have so many supporters from our communities who are helping to realize this dream. We wish all of the students from Franklin Pierce University, Mascenic and Conant high schools the very best for the bright futures we know they have ahead of them.
