Jazz concert and workshop Saturday

The Rich Greenblatt Quintet will perform in concert at the Monadnock Center for History & Culture on Saturday at 8 p.m.

This modern jazz group mixes in swing, funk, odd-time signatures, South American, and the blues.

Members of the quintet are Rich Greenblatt, vibes; Steve Langone, percussion; Gilson Schachnik, piano; Allan Chase, saxophone; and John Funkhouser, bass.

Admission to the concert is $15 and $12 for members, students and seniors.

Members of the quintet will be providing an afternoon jazz workshop focusing on ensemble playing and improvisation.

The workshop will be held from 3 to 5 p.m.

All five members of the group are instructors at the Berklee College of Music in Boston, as well as being seasoned performers in various musical configurations.

The cost of the workshop is $20 and advance registration is required.
