Looking for voters’ support
To the editor:
I am writing to request the support of Peterborough voters on May 14 for another term as library trustee.
It has been my pleasure to work on their behalf as a library trustees. During this time your trustees have continued to improve services, oversee management, control expenditures and strengthened ties with our patrons and town officials.
We have taken care of the current library and its operations but just as importantly we have been eyeing the future — looking for what your library could be. To that end we have launched a major effort to gather information that will take us into the 21st century. We have reached out to you in a recent community forum, in an on going effort called the Library Outreach Group, we have consulted with trustees throughout our state to find out their doings, we have researched material for the “library of the future.”
We together, trustee and library patron, will honor the unique traditions of the Peterborough Town Library (established in 1833 as the first tax supported free library) by providing the highest quality of service to all today and into the future.
Your support at the polls would be appreciated.
