Camera club meets May 16
The Monadnock Camera Club will be holding its next meeting on May 16 at 7 p.m. at the Jaffrey Civic Center.
The club will devote this entire meeting to portrait photography.
A viewing of 45-60 minutes of video from the DVD titled “Posing With Attitude” will offer some helpful tips on photographing children, adults and families.
After a brief discussion, a section of video on techniques for retouching portraits will be shown. This video, “Beauty and Retouching Kit” by David Cuerdon, will be available for loan to those interested in learning more. Other videos also will be available for loan.
Members and nonmembers are requested to bring a portrait which they wish to share or have critiqued to the next meeting.
Guests and members may bring prints for viewing to meetings without prior notification of the club president.
Anyone who would like to give a short digital or print presentation of their work to the club is asked to contact President Frank Gorga at firstname.lastname@example.org about a week before the regular monthly meeting.
MCC members will be exhibiting framed prints at the Jaffrey Civic Center in August and September. These prints may be brought to the May or June meetings.
