Open stage planned for Friday night

On Friday the open mic at the Meeting House Stage will feature Fitchburg, Mass., folk musician Nate Smith.

Smith plays old-time banjo, some straightforward harmonica and, of course, acoustic guitar, and has released four CDs.

The Meeting House Stage provides a relaxing atmosphere for people to gather each month and listen to acoustic music, poetry, and the spoken word. Performers are welcome to come in and sign up for a slot (three songs or 15 minutes, whichever comes first). Doors open at 6:30 p.m. and music begins at about 7 p.m.

Drinks and a variety of homemade baked goods are available.

A suggested $5 donation helps support the Rindge Historical Society. For more information, visit MeetingHouseStage.com.
