Garden club hosting Monadnock walk
The Monadnock Garden Club will host a “walk and talk” with Steve Gehlbach titled, “Observing Wildflowers Through the Photographer’s Lens.” The public is invited to participate in this free event, which will be held on Thursday from 10 to 11:30 a.m. on the Spalding Nature Trail on Mount Monadnock. Parking is limited at the trail site; participants are invited to meet at the Jaffrey Center Meetinghouse at 9:45 a.m. to car pool.
The Spalding Nature Trail has been maintained by members of the Monadnock Garden Club since the hurricane of 1938, as a conservation effort to protect native plant life through education to the public. A self-guided tour of 14 stations along the trail offers visitors extensive narratives of plant life, local lore and legends. The Monadnock Garden Club is a member of the Garden Club of America.
Join us for this photography walk and an opportunity to explore the Spalding Nature Trail at the base of Mt. Monadnock.
