Monday, May 13
Accident: At 1:30 p.m., police responded to a two-car crash at the intersection of Route 119 and Route 202. Angela Depauw, 33, of Greenville was driving a 2002 Mitsubishi Montero when she allegedly rear-ended a 2003 Subaru Legacy, driven by Norma Straightiff, 51, of New Ipswich, according to police. Both vehicles sustained minor damage and were driven from the scene.
Tuesday, May 14
Accident: At 9:59 a.m., police responded to a single-car crash on Route 119. Michelle Mello, 26, of Rindge was driving a 2009 Mitsubishi Lancer eastbound on Route 119 when she struck an object that had allegedly fallen out of another vehicle. Mello’s vehicle sustained moderate front-end damage and was towed.
Wednesday, May 15
Must appear: At 10:15 p.m., police responded to Alpine Motors on Route 202 for a report of a 17-year-old Jaffrey youth who was unresponsive. The 17-year-old was transported to Monadnock Community Hospital in Peterborough for evaluation. Police issued him a must appear summons for possession of a controlled drug believed to be marijuana. He is scheduled to appear in court on June 5.
Friday, May 17
Theft: At 7:14 p.m., a Rindge resident reported to police the theft of a license plate from his vehicle. The resident told police he did not know where the license plate was stolen, but noticed it missing while at home. The case is under investigation.
Sunday, May 19
Fire: At 1:01 a.m., police responded to Candlelight Road for a report of a tire fire. A resident had extinguished the fire prior to police arrival. The case is under investigation and police said they have no suspects at this time.
