Tuesday, May 21
Theft: At 3:45 p.m., a resident of Poplar Court reported that she had a cell phone charger, GPS with charger, a pack of cigarettes and a cigarette lighter stolen from her 2006 Chevy Trailblazer while it was parked outside her residence. The theft is under investigation.
Accident: At 9:20 p.m., police responded to a single-car crash on River Street near Lacy Road. John Belletete, 64, of Jaffrey was driving a 2006 Buick on River Street when police said he struck a deer that had run out in front of his vehicle. The deer ran off into the woods after the crash, according to police. The vehicle sustained moderate front-end damage, but was drivable. There were no reported injuries.
Saturday, May 25
Arrest: At 1:12 p.m., the Gilford Police Department called Jaffrey police to report that they had arrested Zachary Corbeil, 19, of Manchester on a warrant issued by Jaffrey Police Department in 2011, charging Corbeil with reckless conduct. Corbeil was released on $800 personal recognizance with an Aug. 1 court date at the 8th Circuit Court in Jaffrey. The warrant was issued as a result of an incident in June 2011 when it was alleged that Corbeil, a passenger in a vehicle on Turnpike Road, threw a tube of toothpaste out the car and at the windshield of another vehicle driven by a Fitzwilliam resident, according to police.

Arrest: At 2:30 a.m., police made a motor vehicle stop on Mountain Road. The driver, Adam Raymond, 32, of Winchendon, Mass., was arrested and charged with possession of a controlled drug, believed to be marijuana, in a motor vehicle. He was released on $1,000 personal recognizance with a July 11 court date.
