New York City duo to perform Monday

PepperJill & Jack, a musical duo based in New York City comprised of Stephen Bent and Shannon O’Neil, will perform at the Hancock Library on Monday at 7 p.m.

They debuted in March 2012, performing in the Astoria Symphonic Choir’s spring concert. The duo has played throughout New York City in various bars and clubs. They blend a Cole Porter lyric sensibility with Simon and Garfunkel style duo vocal harmonies. Their audiences hear everything from trombones to ukuleles.

In early 2013, they were awarded a World Record for “Most Beatles References in a Single Song.” PepperJill & Jack’s debut album will be released Saturday at The Ailey Studios in New York City.

The Hancock program is free and open to all thanks to the Friends of the Hancock Town Library. For more information, call the library at 525-4411. See www.pepperjillandjack.com, for more information about the musicians.
