$220 stolen at high school

Money from a class fundraiser that was stolen from the guidance office at ConVal High School in May has been recovered, according to Peterborough police.

Lt. Ernie Belletete said on Tuesday that about $220 was taken sometime in May. School officials had a suspect, he said, and did their own initial investigation.

The theft was reported to police on June 14, and Belletete said police assisted in the investigation, which resulted in the return of the money.

Belletete said no charges have been filed, but the incident remains under investigation.
