Mason Police Logs: July 5, 2013


Saturday, June 22

Alarm: At 6:21 p.m. A Sand Pit Road resident activated a personal alarm signal requesting assistance. Mason Emergency Medical Services personnel responded and found the resident on the floor, alert and not complaining of any injuries. EMS personnel assisted the resident back to his feet.

Monday, June 24

Motor vehicle accident: At 10:50 a.m., a 16-year old from Mason was driving on Cascade Road, when she lost control of her car rounding a corner due to driver inexperience and slid off the dirt road, striking some rocks and trees in front of 137 Cascade Road. Dockter was travelling southbound, and slid off the east bound side of the road, resulting in heavy front end damage to the car, which was towed from the scene by Maillet’s Auto in Greenville. The driver was not injured.

Animal complaint: At 9:24 p.m., a Greenville Road resident reported that her neighbor’s dog has been left outside and was barking constantly. Police responded to the area but were unable to locate the property owner.

Friday, June 28

Animal complaint: At 10:43 p.m., a Greenville Road resident reported that her neighbor’s dog was barking and had been doing so for several hours. Police responded to the residence. Before making contact with the resident or the dog owner, police listened for several minutes at the address, and did not hear a dog barking. Police made contact with the dog owner, who had been asleep. His dog was inside the residence at the time. Police advised the dog owner that there had been a noise complaint emanating from a dog on his property. The resident replied that his dog had been inside the house for over an hour, and there had never been noise complaints before, despite living in the area for years. Police issued the dog owner a warning.
