Jaffrey Post 11 drops two matchups

Ryan Carey (1-2) pitched five solid innings for Jaffrey Legion Post 11, but surrendered the two runs early that Nashua needed to pull off a 2-0 win on Friday.

On Monday, the Jaffrey offense struggled in a loss to Keene. In the first inning, a pair of hits and a suicide squeeze bunt scored two Jaffrey runs but Keene came back in the third to take a 6-2 lead. Shawn Marsh (1-1) got the start for Post 11 but struggled early, giving up the six runs on four hits and four walks. Jaffrey used four different pitchers in the game but Keene (6-2) held strong for the 9-3 victory. Jaffrey (5-4) has lost three straight at home and played Merrimack on Wednesday before hitting the road to play a Saturday night game in Bedford.
