Vandalism: At 7:30 a.m., a Contoocook Lane resident reported he woke up to find that a front window in his home had been smashed.

Sunday, Aug. 4

Check the welfare: At 12:10 a.m., after getting a call about a man who appeared to be highly intoxicated, police went to Union Street, where they found a man who had fallen into the road and was unable to stand. He had minor injuries and was taken to Monadnock Community Hospital.

Burglary report: At 10:30 a.m., police were notified that someone had entered a Concord Street business the previous night, breaking a window in the process.

Monday, Aug. 5

Missing person: At 4:20 p.m., a Hancock resident reported that her 84-year-old husband, who has Alzheimer’s disease, had wandered away from the Peterborough library. The man was found by a member of the Fire Department and reunited with his wife.
