Interim minister at Congregational
The Church Council of Union Congregational Church UCC has chosen The Reverend Jill H. Small to serve the church as interim minister.
Small will assume all pastoral duties and will help the church through the processes of self-study and selecting Union Congregational Church’s next settled pastor.
Small has served both settled and interim pastorates in the Maine and New Hampshire Conferences of the United Church of Christ. A graduate of the Union Theological Seminary, New York, her academic expertise is in Hebrew text analysis.
She was a Merrill Fellow at Harvard University, where she studied archaeology and Greek religions. She looks forward to working with the congregation and becoming involved with the larger community in Peterborough.
Small moved to Peterborough at the end of July and began her service to Union Congregational Church by leading the worship service on Aug. 4.
