Finale al fresco with fireworks Aug. 25

The Cathedral of the Pines and Monadnock Music are collaborating on a season-ending outdoor concert complete with a fireworks display on Sunday, Aug. 25.

The Monadnock Music wind ensemble, conducted by Gil Rose, will present “Music for Pines and Mountains” including selections by John Phillip Sousa, Percy Grainger, Ron Nelson and Ottorini Respighi with a special world premier performance of “Grand Monadnock Measures” by Andy Vores.

The evening will conclude with a fireworks display provided by Atlas Pyrotechnics.

The public is invited to bring a picnic to enjoy before the concert or to take a stroll around the Cathedral grounds to view the gardens and pathways.

The gates will open at 5:30 p.m. with the concert beginning at 7 p.m. in the Cathedral’s outdoor sanctuary. At the conclusion of the concert, audience members may gather on the hilltop for a fireworks display.Tickets are $30.00 per car with a maximum of six persons per car.
