Brantwood Camp receives $750 donation from Rotary

The Peterborough Rotary Club presented Brantwood Camp with a donation of $750 recently at a meeting held at the camp. Brantwood, a summer camp for boys and girls, enrolls campers who are between the ages of 11 and 15 from Boston, New York City, Jersey City, N.J., Hartford, Conn., and urban areas of New Hampshire who might not otherwise have an opportunity to attend summer camp.

Brantwood has been open as a boys residential camp since 1904, and in 1982 Brantwood for Girls opened a mile away. Each summer, Brantwood serves 365 campers, who enjoy the hills and woods of Peterborough and Greenfield, in three 16-day terms. Campers are recommended and sponsored by social service agencies, schools, churches, and a variety of youth organizations. Many campers return to Brantwood as counselors and administrators.

Rotary has financially supported Brantwood for several years.
