Volunteers sought for Swap Shop

The Jaffrey Chamber of Commerce is seeking additional volunteers to staff the Swap Shop at Jaffrey’s Recycling Center. The Swap Shop is a town resource that allows Jaffrey residents a place to bring unwanted items so that they can be taken free of charge by those who can make use of them.

The Swap Shop is open Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.; volunteers sign up to cover whole or half shifts with two volunteers on staff during open hours. There is no commitment to how much time you need to volunteer. Volunteers must be 18 years or older and enjoy working with the public.

There is a Swap Shop Committee that meets quarterly at the Jaffrey Chamber office, where volunteers come together to sign up for the next calendar cycle and discuss pertinent topics.

If you would like to provide a valuable service to the community, contact Becky Newton at the Jaffrey Chamber office, 532-4549.
