ConVal group helped with drive

To the editor:

The month of September was declared Hunger Action Month across the state by Gov. Maggie Hassan. In response to the call to support hunger relief, The ConVal National Honor Society organized a district food drive, which involved all 11 schools including the SAU office.

The Peterborough Food Pantry was the recipient of a large quantity of the food gathered during the food drive, and it was delivered to us on Sunday morning by the Procita family.

On behalf of the board and volunteers of the Peterborough Food Pantry (Peterborough Human Services Fund), we’d like to thank Nancy Gagnon, Advisor to the National Honor Society, student members, the Procita family, and all of the thoughtful good townspeople who donated food to make this drive a huge success. We especially appreciate your attention to the “code dates” on the products, as we will only distribute unexpired food items.

You have made a very big difference in the lives of the people who come to us for assistance. Our shelves are replenished once again thanks to your generosity.
