Arrest: At 10:23 p.m., an officer on patrol saw a red Sedan heading south at a high speed on Concord Street near Dugre’s Auto. The officer recorded the driver’s speed at 71 mph in a posted 55 mph zone and began following the car. By the time the police turned around to follow the vehicle, the car was out of site. The officer located the vehicle a great ways ahead of him and noticed the car had gained distance. As the officer drove closer he recorded the driver now going 65 mph in a posted 30 mph zone. Police finally pulled the car over in this 30 mph zone and the operator identified himself as Jared Gove, of Ashby, Mass., and said he was a suspended operator. After running the operator’s information with Ashby police it was determined that the operator was actually Justin Gove, 25, of Ashby, and Jared is his brother. Ashby police also advised the Antrim officer that Gove was a suspect in several burglaries in Massachusetts. Gove was arrested for operating after the suspension of a license, disobeying a police officer and speeding. He was transported to the Hillsborough Police Department where he was booked and bailed on $1,000 personal recognizance with a court date of Nov. 7 at the 6th Circuit Court, Hillsborough.
