Wednesday, Oct. 2
Theft, vandalism: At about 2:50 p.m., police responded to a report of theft from a Dodge truck parked at the Purgatory Lower Falls parking area off Purgatory Road. A rear passenger window was smashed and $350 in cash and a $50 Verizon debit card were reported stolen.
Thursday, Oct. 3
Theft, vandalism: At about 2 p.m., police went to the Purgatory Lower Falls parking area after getting two theft reports. The passenger door window had been smashed on a 2008 Ford Focus belonging to a Milford woman, and credit and debit cards and a set of keys were stolen. The passenger door window of a 2006 Mazda belonging to a Nashua man was broken and three debit/credit cards and $50 in cash were stolen.
Friday, Oct. 4
Suspicious fire: At 12:53 p.m., police and firefighters responded to a suspicious brush fire at the McClellan Trail off Purgatory Road. The fire had apparently been started by someone throwing used drug paraphernalia onto a dry brush pile. The fire was extinguished by the Fire Department.
Monday, Oct. 7
Arrest: At 10:32 a.m., while checking the area of the McClellan Trail off Purgatory Road, police arrested Edson Skinner, 51, of Wilton and charged him with possession of marijuana and transportation of marijuana. Skinner was released on $1,200 personal recognizance with a Nov. 3 court date in 9th Circuit Court, Milford.
Tuesday, Oct. 8
Theft, vandalism: At 12:20 p.m., police went to the Purgatory Lower Falls parking area after getting a theft report. The front passenger window of a 2008 Honda Element, belonging to New Boston residents, had been smashed and a purse and other valuables had reportedly been taken.
