Turned pottery display opens at Civic Center

An exhibit of turned pottery by Terry and Susan Silverman will be on display in the first floor display cases at the Jaffrey Civic Center beginning Friday.

Terry is the owner of The Pottery Works in Fitzwilliam and has produced a unique type of cookware called “flameware” at his studio since 1977.

Susan is known for her functional and decorative porcelain ware, with Asian-inspired underglaze blue hand-painted designs. She also has produced numerous tile commissions for people’s homes and most recently completed a collaborative tile mural for one of the buildings at Franklin Pierce University.

The exhibit will be on display through Nov. 21.

Admission is always free.
