Forest laws refresher program for municipal officials

A program on forest law for municipal officials will take place Nov. 19 at Shieling Forest, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Who should attend? Selectmen, town clerks, tax collectors, assessors, code enforcement officers, conservation commissioners, road agents, forestry committee members, police officers, and other town employees and volunteers can play a vital role in the enforcement of forest laws. This will be a valuable workshop for new town officials and employees, as well as a refresher course for those that have been around for a while.

The workshop runs from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m., with a break from 12:30 to 1:00 p.m. for lunch; it’s bring your own. You may attend for just the morning or all day. Come prepared to spend the afternoon outside. Rain or shine. This workshop is free, but you need to preregister to receive the resource materials and guarantee a place. Space is limited. For online registration find the registration link at nhwoods.org. For more information, call 352-4550.
