CV’s McCole gets All-Conference nod

Senior Riordan McCole did a lot for the ConVal footbal team this season. As a running back, McCole led the Cougars in rushing yards with 226 and scored one of ConVal’s four total offensive touchdowns. On defense, he was second on the team in tackles, with his 48 trailing only Jordan Loll’s 81. But his most important role for ConVal may have been one that is oft-overlooked. On a team that struggles on offense, an excellent punter is key, and McCole filled that position admirably this year.

McCole is now being honored as the Division II West All-Conference team’s punter, it was announced Monday. He’s the only Cougar to receive All-Conference honors this year.
