Wilton man sees burglary charge

A Wilton man was indicted this month on a felony burglary charge, after he allegedly stole equipment, including an arc welder and a power hydraulic lift, from an auto body shop in Lyndeborough.

Michael Flagg, 57, of Wilton was arrested by Lyndeborough and Greenfield police in Greenfield in November. According to the indictment, which was handed down in Hillsborough County Superior Court on Jan. 16, Flagg entered a building at J&F Auto Body on Forest Road in Greenfield on Oct. 22. At the time of Flagg’s arrest, Lyndeborough Police Chief Rance Deware said the business owners had noticed a suspicious person on the property prior to discovering the missing items. An investigation pointed to Flagg as a suspect and the items were eventually recovered at a storage facility in Antrim.

Flagg is being held at the Hillsborough County House of Corrections in Manchester.
