Driver hurt in Route 202 crash

PETERBOROUGH — A Jaffrey woman was taken to Monadnock Community Hospital on Thursday following a two-car accident at the intersection of Route 202 and Parmalee Drive, the access road leading to the hospital.

According to police, Bernice Donovan, 89, of Jaffrey pulled out of Parmalee Drive at 2:29 p.m. and her 1990 Toyota Corolla was hit by a northbound 2013 Honda Pilot driven by Amy Theriault, 44, of Peterborough.

Donovan was taken by ambulance to Monadnock Community Hospital to be checked for injuries. Hospital officials were unable to provide information on her status, citing a patient confidentiality request.

Theriault declined medical treatment at the scene.

Donovan’s car had significant front-end damage and was towed. Theriault’s vehicle had moderate damage and was driven away.

Police Chief Scott Guinard said the accident is under investigation and no cause has been determined.
