Thursday, Feb. 27

Accident: At 6:25 p.m., Seth Chatfield, 38, of Hancock notified police that a deer had jumped in front of his car and been hit while he was driving on Evergreen Road. Chatfield’s 2014 Mazda had damage to the driver’s-side door and front panel. He was not injured and the car was driven away.

Friday, Feb. 28

Assist: At 4:45 p.m., police assisted Greenfield police with an accident on Route 31 in Greenfield.

Road rage incident: At 3 p.m., a Bennington man reported that a driver who had been tailgating him on Route 202 near Forest Road passed him, then pulled in front and hit his car. He said both vehicles stopped, and the driver of the other vehicle, a woman, got out, yelled and swore at him, and then drove off. The man was unable to get a license plate number but provided a description of the vehicle and police are investigating.

Saturday, March 1

Fire: At 12:47 a.m., police responded with the Fire Department to a chimney fire at an Elmwood Road residence.

Wednesday, March 5

Vandalism: At 10 a.m., a representative of a repossession company notified police of vandalism at a vacant foreclosure property on Kimball Road.

Thursday, March 6

Medical issue: At 6:33 p.m., police responded with the Fire Department to a Peterborough Road residence. An elderly man who had fallen was taken to Monadnock Community Hospital.

Saturday, March 8

Complaint: At 7:51 p.m., police went to a North Road residence after getting a complaint about a suspicious person at the home. After investigation, police determined that there had not been any intruder at the residence. A man who lives there was taken to Monadnock Community Hospital for evaluation. Police took possession of a firearm and ammunition, with the owner’s consent.

Sunday, March 9

Arrest: At 4:38 p.m, following a traffic stop on Elmwood Road, police arrested Corey Boucher, 20, of New Ipswich and charged him with transportation of alcoholic beverages by a minor. He was released on $500 personal recognizance with a court date on April 1 in 8th Circuit Court, Jaffrey.
