Wednesday, June 19

Arrest: At 12 p.m., a 17-year-old Jaffrey resident turned himself into police on a warrant issued by Jaffrey Police Department for breach of bail. He was released on $2,500 personal recognizance with an Aug. 8 court date at the 8th Circuit Court in Jaffrey.

Accident: At 3:40 p.m., police responded to a two-car crash on Peterborough Street. Kristen Pineault, 20, of Jaffrey was driving a 2003 Subaru Impreza northbound on Peterborough Street when police say she struck a 2003 Buick Rendezvous, driven by Megan Lawn, 27, of Jaffrey. Lawn was stopped on Peterborough Street waiting to turn onto Ridgecrest Road, according to police. Pineault was transported to Mondanock Community Hospital in Peterborough for treatment of neck, back and arm pain, police said. Both cars sustained heavy damage and were towed.

Arrest: At 6:15 p.m., police responded to North Street in an attempt to locate Victor Sanchez, 42, of Fitchburg, Mass., who had an active warrant for his arrest out of the Keene Police Department, charging him with violation of a protective order. Jaffrey police located and arrested Sanchez on the warrant. He was held at the Jaffrey Police Department to await pickup by Keene police.

Thursday, June 20

Accident: At 8:22 a.m., police responded to single-car crash on Great Road. A 16-year-old Jaffrey resident was driving a 2003 Volvo eastbound on Great Road when her car pulled to the left, she told police. The driver said she attempted to steer right to correct the vehicle, but in doing so caused the Volvo to spin out of control. The car came to rest on its roof, in a ditch and on the opposite side of the road, according to police. The car was towed. Police said the driver denied medical attention.

Arrest: At 12:38 a.m., a resident of Nutting Road called to report that a man, who appeared to be intoxicated, was hanging around outside the residence and would not leave. Russell Holden, 44, of Jaffrey was taken into protective custody due to his alleged intoxication and transported to the Cheshire County House of Corrections.

Saturday, June 22

Arrest: At 2:35 a.m., police made a motor vehicle stop for defective equipment on River Street. The driver, Laura Dunn, 27, of Jaffrey, was arrested and charged with child restraints required, uninspected motor vehicle and operating after suspension, third offence. She was released on $1,000 personal recognizance with a July 11 court date.

Arrest: At 6:15 p.m., while on patrol, police were flagged down by a Jaffrey man who reported that his 15-year-old daughter had run away from home. He believed she would be in the company of her boyfriend, who is also a Jaffrey resident. Police located the man’s daughter and took her into protective custody. She was transported to the police station and later released to her father.

Sunday, June 23

Accident: At 10:05 a.m., Amanda Lewis, 27, of Jaffrey came to the police station to report that she was involved in a hit-and-run accident on Main Street, where her vehicle was allegedly rear-ended by an elderly woman who left the scene without providing any contact information. A plate number was obtained by a passenger in Lewis’ vehicle and given to Jaffrey police. Lewis’ vehicle sustained minor damage. The case is under investigation.

Accident: At 2:35 p.m., police responded to a two-car crash on Dublin Road at First Tavern Road. Patrick Hummel, 33, of Jaffrey was driving a 2012 Ford F150 pickup, owned by the state of New Hampshire, northbound on Dublin Road when police said the Ford was struck by a 2013 Chrysler Durango, driven by Leslie Welsh, 30, of Jaffrey. Police said Welsh was pulling out of First Tavern Road and onto Dublin Road at the time of the collision. Both vehicles sustained minor to moderate damage and were driven from the scene. There were no reported injuries.

Monday, June 24

Arrest: At 8 p.m., a 16-year-old Jaffrey resident turned herself into police on a warrant issued by the Jaffrey Police Department, charging her with negligent driving in connection with a motor vehicle crash on June 20. She was released on a must appear summons with an Aug. 8 court date.
