Tuesday, Feb. 25

Motor vehicle crash: At 5:55 p.m., police responded to Concord Street for a report of a two-car motor vehicle accident. Dispatch was advised that an unoccupied vehicle, owned by Carrie Platt, 56, of Hancock, slid out of the driveway of 40 Concord St. and struck a vehicle, owned by Mary Stanek, 60, of Peterborough, as it passed by. There were no injuries and both cars were able to be driven from the scene, however, there was damage done to Stanek’s car.

Tuesday, March 4

Arrest: At 11:13 a.m., Brian Mitchell, 21, of Antrim turned himself into the Antrim Police Department on a warrant that charged him with the sale of controlled/narcotic drugs. Mitchell was released on $2,500 personal recognizance with a court date of April 3, at the 6th Circuit Court, Hillsborough.

Wednesday, March 5

Assist other agency: At 10:30 p.m., police assisted the Hillsborough Police Department with a disturbance at a Spring Street residence in Hillsborough, as all other Hillsborough police vehicles were tied up. Antrim police assisted as needed and the situation was cleared without incident.

Friday, March 7

Arrest: At 12:05 a.m., while on patrol on Concord Street, facing south near Cross Road, police observed a vehicle drive by with its muffler hanging very low. Police said it appeared to be broken and stopped the vehicle driven by Amanda Curry, 32, of Peterborough. During the motor vehicle stop, Curry was found to have a suspended license and was charged with driving after suspended license. Curry was released on $900 personal recognizance with a court date of April 3, at the 6th Circuit Court, Hillsborough.

Saturday, March 8

Motor vehicle stop: At 8:45 p.m., while performing stationary radar on Concord Street near Cross Road, police observed a vehicle approach traveling at 38 mph in a posted 55 mph zone. As the vehicle approached the police cruiser, it allegedly sped up to 44 mph and crossed the yellow line. Police started to follow the vehicle and observed the car slow down and cross the fog line then turn the high beams off and back on without any oncoming traffic. Police stopped the vehicle on Old Concord Road. Subsequent testing led to the operator, Joseph Boilard, 26, of Boston, being arrested and charged with DWI and transporting alcoholic beverages, as police said they found empty alcohol bottles in the vehicle. Boilard was released on $1,500 personal recognizance with a court date of April 3, at the 6th Circuit Court, Hillsborough.

Monday, March 10

Motor vehicle crash: At 9:13 a.m., police responded to a single-vehicle crash and rollover on Route 9 near the Stoddard Line. Upon arrival, police observed a Chevy Venture to be rolled over approximately half way down the eastbound side embankment. The female operator, identified as Alison Pinette, 42, of Winchester, was entrapped in the vehicle and had to be extricated by the fire department. Pinette was transported to the Cheshire Medical Center for a broken leg and the car was towed from the scene. Police believe the accident was a result of icy road conditions.

Tuesday, March 11

Breaking and entering: Between the hours of 12 a.m. and 2 a.m., police on patrol in the area of Gregg Lake observed several camps had either been broken into or an attempt was made to break into them. No further information is available due to pending investigations.

Arrest: At 8:49 p.m., police found Calvin Melvin, 21, of Antrim on Highland Avenue and arrested him on an electronic bench warrant. The bench warrant is out of the Antrim Police Department for failing to appear in court for pending charges . Police found Melvin after another officer passed information to another patrolling officer.

Saturday, March 15

Arrest: At 10:35 p.m., police went to a residence on Concord Street and served an active warrant to a 17-year-old Antrim girl, charging her with simple assault. The girl was released from the Antrim Police Department on $1,000 personal recognizance with a court date of April 3 at the 6th Circuit Court, Hillsborough.
