Man held on 50k for assault charges
LYNDEBOROUGH — A Lyndeborough man is being held on $50,000 cash bail after being charged with assault.
On May 4, police received a report of a second degree assault which had occurred at some time between the hours of 5 p.m. and 11 p.m. the previous evening at 1550 Center Road in Lyndeborough. The victim, a 41-year-old Lyndeborough man, was transported to Southern New Hampshire Medical Center for injuries he sustained during the assault, and was later transferred to Massachusetts General Hospital for additional treatment. The injuries sustained were described as “Very serious,” and one of the injuries were due to strangulation.
Police arrested Timothy Sullivan, 47, of Lyndeborough, on May 5 and charged him with first degree assault and second degree assault. Bail was initially set at $50,000 cash, and that bail was upheld Tuesday during a probable cause hearing at the 9th Circuit Court, Milford on Tuesday.
The court found probable cause to continue the case. Sullivan is held at the Hillsborough County House of Correction in lieu of $50,000 cash bail.
