Thursday, May 2
Must appear: At 5:12 p.m., police made a motor vehicle stop for speed on Turnpike Road. Lisa Papastefanou, 26, of Weare was issued a must appear summons for operating without a valid license. She is scheduled to appear at the 8th Circuit Court in Jaffrey June 6.
Arrest: At 5:37 p.m., police observed a man behind a dumpster at Alder Court. Police said once the man spotted the police cruiser he began to run, but police intercepted the suspect on Laundry Way. Russell Holden, 44, of Jaffrey was placed in protective custody due to his intoxication and transported to the Cheshire County House of Corrections.
Friday, May 3
Theft: At 12 p.m., a resident reported that he had $45 cash stolen out of his pants, which they were stored in his backpack at Conant High School. He reported that another student had $5 cash and an iPod stolen in the same time frame at the high school. The alleged thefts are under investigation.
Accident: At 10:41 p.m., police responded to a single-crash on Proctor Road. Teri Motley, 69, of Jaffrey was driving a 2010 Toyota Prius on Proctor Road when she reportedly fell asleep and drifted off the road. The vehicle came to rest partially on a barbed wire fence and sustained minor to moderate front-end damage. The vehicle was towed.
Saturday, May 4
Arrest: At 1:03 a.m., police received report of a fight in progress between a man and two women on Stratton Road outside Lab’n Lager. Police said they did not witness an assault at the scene, and are continuing to investigate the incident. Robert Labrie, 23, of Jaffrey, the male suspect, was taken into protective custody due to his intoxication and was transported to the Cheshire County House of Corrections.
Accident: At 7:20 a.m., police responded to a motorcycle crash on Prescott Road. Leon Peele, 50, of New Ipswich was driving a 2000 Honda motorcycle southbound on Prescott Road toward Rindge when a squirrel ran out in front of him, according to police. Peele lost control when he hit a patch of sand, causing the motorcycle to crash. Peele told police he was uninjured. The motorcycle was towed.
Arrest: At 6:30 p.m., police were patrolling Peterborough Street when they observed a man hitchhiking. Jay Parker, 49, of Peterborough was placed in protective custody due to his intoxication and later released to his mother.
Sunday, May 5
Arrest: At 12:17 a.m., police made a motor vehicle stop for a stop sign violation and two yellow line violations on Dublin Road. Eric Crocker, 33, of Jaffrey was arrested and charged with possession of a controlled drug, believed to be marijuana, in a motor vehicle and transportation of alcohol. He was released on $1,000 personal recognizance with a June 6 court date. The vehicle was towed.
Arrest: At 2:30 a.m., police made a motor vehicle stop for poor manner of operation and failure to use a turn signal on Michigan Road. Melissa Maclean, 34, of Ashburnham, Mass., was arrested and charged with DWI. She was released on $1,000 personal recognizance with a May 14 court date.
Accident: At 2:20 p.m., police responded to a two-car crash on Peterborough Street. Drew Hylton, 18, of Jaffrey was driving a 2011 Volvo when his car was struck by a 1995 Dodge Caravan, driven by Phobee Hoyt, 77, of New Ipswich. Hoyt allegedly struck Hilton, as the two cars were turning from Turnpike Road onto Peterborough Street, as a result of Hilton having to stop quickly for a vehicle that had stopped in front of him, according to police. Both vehicles sustained minor damage and were driven from the scene. There were no reported injuries.
Monday, May 6
Arrest: At 1:31 p.m., police responded to Nutting Road for a report of a man, who was allegedly riding a motorized pocket bike. Police located the suspect with the bike, when he was no longer riding it, but pushing it. Jerimi Ham, 27, of Jaffrey was arrested and charged with operating while being deemed a habitual offender. He was held in lieu of $5,000 and transported to the Cheshire County House of Corrections. He is scheduled to appear in court on May 7.
Tuesday, May 7
Must appear: At 2:30 p.m., police made a motor vehicle stop on Cross Street, after observing a 2006 Kia Spectra make a right turn from Main Street onto North Street while the pedestrian crossing signal was lit. Lynn Dumas, 45, of Jaffrey was issued a must appear summons for operating after suspension of license. She is scheduled to appear in court on June 6.
