Tuesday, June 4
Arrest: At 8:40 p.m., police responded to Market Basket for an alleged shoplifting incident. Tracy Ashline, 35, of Winchendon, Mass., was arrested and charged with shoplifting after allegedly taking a bag of groceries from the store. She was released on $1,000 personal recognizance with a July 10 court date at the 8th Circuit Court in Jaffrey.
Thursday, June 6
Arrest: At 1:45 p.m., police received a call from the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Department about the arrest of a Mason man, who they arrested on a warrant issued by Rindge police for false report to law enforcement. Benjamin Kennen, 21, of Mason was arrested on the warrant, as well as unrelated charges, in Nashua. He was released on $1,000 personal recognizance with a July 10 court date at the 8th Circuit Court in Jaffrey.
Saturday, June 8
Must appear: At 8:15 p.m., police made a motor vehicle stop for speed on Route 119 in the area of East Main Street. The driver, Benjamin Gagne, 20, of Ashburnham, Mass., was issued a must appear summons for operating after suspension of license and speed. He is scheduled to appear in court on July 10.
Arrest: At 9:05 p.m., police responded to Route 119, near the Fitzwilliam town line, for report of an intoxicated man who was walking on the side of the road. As a result of their investigation, police arrested Shawn Seymour, 50, of Swanzey on a warrant issued by Jaffrey Police Department for second-degree assault. Seymour was transported to the Cheshire County House of Corrections, where he was held without bail until his arraignment on June 10.
Sunday, June 9
Accident: At 11:11 a.m., police responded to two-car crash on Route 119 near Old New Ipswich Road. Lynda Vaillancourt, 73, of Rindge was driving a 2007 Toyota Matrix eastbound on Route 119 when she allegedly missed her turn onto Old New Ipswich Road and attempted a U-turn. Police said Vaillancourt struck a 2001 Ford F150 pickup, driven by Ethan Aho, 21, of New Ipswich, who was also traveling eastbound on Route 119. Both cars were towed. Vaillancourt was transported to Monadnock Community Hospital in Peterborough with non-life-threatening injuries. The accident is under investigation, police said.
Monday, June 11
Accident: At 5 a.m., police responded to Route 202 for a single-car crash. Mark Andrews, 27, of Jaffrey was driving southbound on Route 202 when he allegedly fell asleep at the wheel, left the roadway and struck a couple of trees, causing his 2005 Jeep Grand Cherokee to roll over. The car was towed. There were no reported injuries.
