Rash of break-ins affect vehicles, SKIP
PETERBOROUGH — Police are investigating a break-in at the School Kids in Peterborough child care building on Vine Street and a series of thefts from vehicles at Riverview Apartments.
At 6:40 a.m. on June 19, police were notified that someone had removed an air conditioner from a window and broken into the SKIP building, located near Peterborough Elementary School, during the night. Cash and a laptop computer were taken.
On the same day, five residents of Riverview Apartments reported that their parked vehicles had been broken into during the night. A GPS device, three iPods, and iPod charger and a set of keys were taken from five vehicles.
Police said suspects have been identified in both incidents and some of the items taken from vehicles have been recovered.
No arrests have been made.
None of the vehicles at the apartment complex had been locked. Police are urging residents to remember to lock their cars at night.
