Tuesday, July 30

Assist: At 6:49 a.m., police were called to Mr. Mike’s on Route 202 for a reported fuel spill. Employees had the spill contained when police arrived, and a Fire Department crew arrived to handle cleanup. Police were told that a driver had left the gas pump running while he went into the store to make a purchase. A clerk provided police with a license plate number.

Criminal mischief: At 2:05 p.m., a Water Department employee reported that the shed on the Pheasant Road wastewater site had been damaged and a lock torn off the door. It was unknown if anything had been taken.

Accident: At 4:37 p.m., a 2009 Honda driven by Beverly Clinton, 44, of Jeffersonville, Ind., and a 1998 Volvo driven by Babette VonStade, 62, of Dublin, collided in the Peterborough Plaza parking lot. No one was injured. Both cars had minor damage and were driven away.

Arrest: At 6:22 p.m., police arrested Charles Eggert, 65, of Temple at the SAU 1 office on Route 202, after being notified that Eggert, who had been served with a no-trespass letter, was on the SAU property. Eggert was charged with criminal trespass and resisting arrest or detention. He was released on $2.500 personal recognizance with an Aug. 9 court date in 8th Circuit Court, Jaffrey.

Dog complaint: At 7:21 p.m., a Taylor Court resident reported being chased on two occasions by two small dogs while walking on Lounsbury Lane. He said the dogs tried to bite him. The dogs were inside and no one was home when police arrived.

Disorderly person: At 8:11 p.m., police went to Monadnock Community Hospital after a 16-year-old who had been brought in by Greenfield police for an involuntary emergency admission became disorderly. Greenfield police also responded and police stood by in the emergency room while the admission was completed. At the hospital’s request, two detail officers remained at the emergency room overnight to watch the patient, who was released in the morning and taken to Keene District Court for a placement hearing.

Arrest: At 9:24 p.m., after police took several calls about a man on Main Street carrying an American flag who was screaming at people and impeding traffic, police arrested Brenden J. Singelais, 19, of West Townsend, Mass. He was taken into protective custody for alleged intoxication and then taken to the Valley Street Jail in Manchester. Singelais is being charged with internal possession of alcohol and disorderly conduct. He was scheduled for court on Aug. 5.

Thursday, Aug. 1

Accident: At 11:44 a.m., a northbound 2005 Hyundai driven by Paula Prieur, 50, of Peterborough drifted off Route 202 near Community Lane and slammed into a guardrail. Prieur had minor injuries to her right shoulder area and was taken to Monadnock Community Hospital by ambulance. The car was towed.

Accident: At 1:42 p.m., Joan Brush, 89, of Jaffrey was northbound on Route 202 South near the driveway to Microspec when her 2011 Chevrolet Equinox drifted off the road and struck the guardrail. The vehicle then veered across the centerline into the southbound lane where it hit a 2001 Chevrolet Blazer, driven by Michael Charbonneau, 28, of Jaffrey. Brush had minor bruising and was transported to Monadnock Community Hospital. Charbonneau was uninjured, but his passenger, Michael St. Onge, 29, of Rindge, had a minor head injury and was taken to Monadnock Community Hospital. Both vehicles had extensive front-end damage and were towed.
