Man sustains minor injury  in crash at routes 137 and 101

DUBLIN — An accident at the intersection of Route 101 and Route 137 in Dublin on Monday sent one man to the hospital with minor injuries.

The crash was allegedly caused when Shawn Dumont, 32, of Derry, was traveling north on Route 137, and pulled out onto Route 101 at the intersection after failing to stop at a stop sign, according to Dublin Police Chief James Letourneau. Dumont, who was driving a 2011 Ford F150, collided in the middle of the intersection with Arnold Pinney, 77, of Dublin, who was traveling east on Route 101 in his 2007 Ford F150. Both vehicles suffered major damage and had to be towed from the scene. Pinney was not injured, but Dumont was transported to Monadnock Community Hospital with a minor injury to his left hand, said Letourneau.

Police cited Dumont for failure to stop.
