Bennington police log: Nov. 7, 2013
Wednesday, Oct. 23
Arrest: At 5:35 p.m., Ryan Parent, 23, of Bennington turned himself in on a warrant, charging him with driving after suspension of license . Parent was allegedly speeding on North Bennington Road, but police couldn’t catch up to him so they drafted a warrant after obtaining his license plate number. He was released on $1,000 personal recognizance with a court date of Nov. 14 at the 6th Circuit Court, Hillsborough.
Thursday, Oct. 24
Juvenile: At 3 p.m., police received a report of a juvenile being bullied while at ConVal High School. Police contacted the school and passed the information onto school officials.
Saturday, Oct. 26
Alarm: At 3:50 p.m., police responded to an alarm at a Paradise Drive residence. It was found to have been accidental.
Sunday, Oct. 27
Arrest: At 11:45 a.m., police arrested James Valles, 32, of Bennington on Francestown Road, charging him with driving after suspension. Police observed Valles driving a small motorcycle all over the road and proceeded to pull him over; police subsequently discovered the suspended license. He was released on a summons with a court date of Dec. 12 at the 6th Circuit Court, Hillsborough.
Wednesday, Oct. 30
Juvenile: At 2:45 p.m., police took a report from a juvenile stating he was being threatened and harassed while on a ConVal High School bus. The bus driver pulled over and called police about a disorderly female. When police arrived, they took the girl off the bus, spoke with her parents who brought her home. The investigation continues.
Thursday, Oct. 31
Investigation: At 4:30 p.m., police took a report from a Bible Hill Road resident reporting that she was threatened by her neighbor. The incident involves the resident’s dog. Police spoke with both parties and advised them to contact the police with any issues.
