Harris Center to tour timber sites
A tour of Harris Center timber harvest sites will be conducted with wildlife and regeneration in mind on Sunday at the Harris Center.
Tour guides will be consulting foresters Wayne Young and Mike Powers of Baystate Forestry, along with UNH Cooperative Extension Forester Steve Roberge, and from the Harris Center, Meade Cadot and Jeremy Wilson, the center’s new executive director with two graduate degrees in forestry and a decade of teaching in the University of Maine’s forestry program.
The group meets at 1 p.m. at the Harris Center, and the program ends about 4 p.m. Contact lefebvre@harriscenter.org for more information.
