Friendly meal set for Jan. 16

The Jaffrey Friendly Meals for seniors will be held on Jan. 16 at the VFW post.

The meal, served at noon, will be roasted pork tenderloin with gravy, mashed potatoes, Capri vegetables, and tapioca pudding for dessert.

This month’s Information Station will feature Scott Maslansky of ENH Power in Dublin. He will be available starting at 10:45 a.m. with information and to answer questions about the services available through their organization.

A Nurse Is In clinic, with a wellness nurse from Home Healthcare, Hospice and Community Services (HCS), will be available to take blood pressures and answer questions from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.

The Friendly Meals is open to senior citizens (60+) from any area town. There is no charge but donations are accepted.

Reservations are needed by noon on Jan. 15, and can be made by calling Donovan at 1-800-541-4145 or 352-2253. The Friendly Meals is a program of Home Healthcare, Hospice and Community Services, a Monadnock United Way agency.
