French Canadian dinner at Sacred Heart Saturday

A dinner celebrating the large pool of people sharing French Canadian heritage in the area will be held at the Sacred Heart Church in Greenville on Saturday.

The Knights of Columbus Council 8016 in Greenville is hosting its 17th Annual French Night Dinner. This event is open to the public. The dinner will be held at the Sacred Heart Church hall, on 15 High St., Greenville. Dinner will be served at 5:15 p.m. at a cost of $12 per person. Proceeds will go to local charities.

The dinner will consist of soupe au pois a memere, boeuf bourguignon, tarte porc, roti de dinde, gorton, legumes and pomme de terre — or, in plain English, pea soup, beef burgundy, pork pie, roast turkey and a pork spread with vegetables and potatoes.
