Farm dinner features  Rosaly’s, Sunnyfield

The Peterborough Agricultural Commission will hold its second farm dinner at the Bass Barn on 6 Bass Road in Peterborough on July 24. The local, seasonal menu prepared by chef Sam Rule will include red, yellow and green heirloom tomatoes and beans; lamb burgers on rosemary focaccia with oven-roasted frites; a salad of lettuces and herbs; and a blueberry tart served with lemon ice cream.

Tickets to the dinner cost $40 (cash only) and are available at Rosaly’s Garden and Farmstand and Steele’s Stationers in Peterborough. Tickets for the dinner are on sale until they sell out, and only 40 seats are available. Diners are asked to bring their own beverages.

On July 24, the barn doors will open at 6 p.m. and dinner will be served at 6:30. Questions about the event may be addressed to agcom@townofpeterborough.us.

The Agricultural Commission protects agricultural lands, preserves rural character, provides a voice for farmers, encourages agricultural-based businesses and activities, and provides educational opportunities for home gardeners.
