Linda Estabrook doesn’t have a background in farming. But as she looks around and sees a vibrant, growing dedication to local food, it makes her want to get down in the dirt. “This is an area where you can know your farmer,” said Estabrook. “I love that.” So, though she made her living for the past decade teaching dancing on cruise ships in the Caribbean, Estabrook now has aspirations of becoming a farmer, or at least becoming involved in the local farm scene.
