Gala to support veterans with PTSD

A gala evening fundraiser will be held at the Shattuck Golf Club to help support Warrior Camp. Warrior Camp helps veterans suffering from Post Traumatic Stress Disorder. It is a clinical program designed to treat combat stress among veterans as well as active duty service members. The unique, week-long Warrior Camp utilizes equine assisted psychotherapy and other trauma treatments.

Warrior Camp was developed by the director and founder of Trauma and Resiliency Resources, Inc., Eva J. Usadi, MA, BCD. Warrior Camp began in 2012 and currently utilizes the Touchstone Farm in Temple for its horses and facilities.

“The funds raised from this wonderful event will enable us to bring more warriors to Warrior Camp. We are reducing PTSD to subclinical levels and enhancing hope in our nation’s service members that they can heal from combat trauma and successfully negotiate the transition from battlefield to community. Thanks to all of you who are making this gala a success!,” said Usadi.

The first-ever Warrior Camp Gala will take place July 19 at the Shattuck Golf Club in Jaffrey. The evening will consist of a cocktail hour, hors d’oeuvres, dinner, a silent auction, guest speakers, live music and readings of war letters by local actors.

Auction items include artwork, gift certificates, travel, home services, antiques, Patriots tickets, autographed items and much more.

Tickets for the event will be $75 per person. Tickets can be purchased by sending a check to Warrior Camp Gala/Trauma and Resiliency Resources, Inc., P.O. Box 566, Jaffrey, NH 03452.
