Tobacco Free Coalition hosts motivational speaker in Keene

The Cheshire Coalition for Tobacco Free Communities of Cheshire Medical Center/Dartmouth-Hitchcock Keene will mark its 15th anniversary with its Annual Butt Swap, a chance for tobacco users to exchange their tobacco products for a week’s worth of nicotine patches.

To participate in the Butt Swap, bring your tobacco to the Cheshire Medical Center/Dartmouth-Hitchcock Keene central lobby the evening of Nov. 14 between 6 and 9 p.m. or the morning of Nov. 15 between 6 and 9 a.m.

In addition to the Annual Butt Swap, the coalition is partnering with the Monadnock Alcohol and Drug Abuse Coalition to present Josh Shipp, a motivational speaker for youth. He is the host of the television show “Jump Shipp” and advice correspondent for MTV. Shipp will give a free talk at the Keene Middle School Auditorium on Nov. 15 at 7 p.m. For more information, call 354-6513.

The Cheshire Coalition for Tobacco Free Communities offers free support for anyone who wants to stop using tobacco through consultations, monthly support groups and informational sessions. For more information, call 354-6513.
