Fitness fundraiser to be held Saturday

Granite State Kettlebells will host a “Samaritan Slam” fitness fundraiser on Saturday at 9 a.m.

The “Samaritan Slam” is an approximately 20 minute fun workout for teens and adults of all ages and abilities. No experience is necessary and spectators are welcome.

The $20 registration fee will be donated to The Samaritans. Granite State Kettlebells is located at 349B Washington St. in Keene. For more information, call Dan Tirabassi at 674-6298 or see www.gskbs.com.

The Samaritans is a nonprofit agency that has been serving the community for 31 years and is supported in part by the Monadnock United Way.

Crisis hotline volunteers provide unconditional, non-judgmental, emotional support to individuals who are alone, anxious, depressed, despairing, grieving or suicidal.

It also offers community outreach and educational programs; prevention and postvention services; a weekly confidential and anonymous support group for those who’ve lost a friend or loved one to suicide; and support to individuals, families, organizations and others in need of their services.
