Samantha Leach has been accepted to Ohio State University Veterinary School for this fall. Leach resides in Columbus, Ohio where she works for an animal shelter and nonprofit neuter spay, SOS Outreach.

While waiting on the decision from Ohio State, Sam and a few of her co-workers were some of 150 volunteers from around the world who participated in Operation Potcakes in the Bahamas this past January. In 11 days the volunteers helped neuter/spay 1,700 dogs in the Bahamas where the dog population is a serious problem.

Leach is a 2011 graduate of the University of Vermont and a 2007 graduate of Mascenic High School, New Ipswich. She is the daughter of Judy Spring and Mark Hopkins of New Ipswich and Bradford Leach of Leominster Mass.
